"Nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is within you.”
- Luke 17:21

Hi there! Thank you so much for giving this site a visit. I heard it was a good idea to make a homepage on the net so here we are.I've been a Shining Princess for about seven years now. I live in St. Paul, Minnesota, where I am interning as an interfaith chaplain. In my spare time, I do enjoy volunteering at the Animal Humane Society and with the local magical community in the Twin Cities. While many folks look to my own personal faith journey for clues about the lives of Reauvais' congregants, I think it's prudent to remember that amongst thousands of dreamers, you're unlikely to find any one denomination or faith community over-represented. I am simply one woman, called to serve in defense of many. Please do not make assumptions or draw conclusions without merit.

"Reauvais is an airy world where islands float in an endless clear sky, connected to one another by bridges of marble and alabaster. The islands are covered, one and all, with glorious sacred architecture -- cathedrals and convents, abbeys and pillars. The denizens of this place are pious folk, who have given over their lives to prayer and study and loyal service."Currently home to over five thousand congregants, Reauvais is not just a 'Christian Realm' -- it is the heart's home for all sorts of folk who seek the divine empyrean on whatever path calls to them. Many congregants actively practice religious tradition, but a fair number are formerly religious or simply take a non-theistic view of eternity. If you'd like to get a better sense of what Reauvais means to its congregants, I recommend giving the Testimonies thread in the Reauvais subforum a look.

Phaedre “Phae” Silver is a character from the LARP Infinite Magic Glories. This is my version of her, though at least 5 or 6 others exist. This LARP examines themes of gendered expectation and labor via the roles of magical girls and mystic knights in a fictional universe beset by terrors from the void hungering for the psychic energies, thoughts, and dreams of humanity. Phaedre is a Shining Princess, the defender chosen by Reauvais — a metaphysical realm of dreams, brought forth from the shared collective unconsciousness of those who long for a life of endless spiritual devotion. Phaedre has protected Reauvais and its dreamers in magical combat (and in a thankless struggle of feminine-coded caregiving) for 5 years by the time of the LARP’s events in 2008.My rendition of the character in the events of the LARP and afterwards is reflected on this site, but is just one way this character can play out. In my online run of the LARP, Phae escapes the events of the 2008 Memorial Day Weekend Party with a great outcome — none of her friends endangered, the magical community’s constitutional convention largely a success, and even a romantic relationship freshly blooming. (I’ve since GM’d another run of the LARP online where things played out, hmm, quite a bit differently. Such is the unique excitement of re-running a game with new players!)This Phae Silver is a Christian woman with a relationship to God that for the first time, no longer feels like a mess of contradiction — instead, she finally possesses a faith that encompasses curiosity and intellectual desire hand in hand with a great love for all that is holy. While still “too religious for the general public, but too curious for the devout”, Phaedre leaves the events of the weekend with newfound confidence in her own convictions. Her romantic relationship with the sentient void terror A.L. Blackmont doesn’t exactly make things any easier to understand for the community at large… but that’s none of their business now, is it?

If you managed to navigate to this page, you've likely got some questions about the nature of my consort bond. I have taken due care to maintain a professional and courteous level of removal between the personal details and the ramifications on Reauvais, and I would like to continue that trend of separation for the forseeable future. At this time, I am willing to answer questions from Reauvais congregants and fellow magic-users. If you are an unaffiliated journalist looking to interview me about "the consort bond with the void terror", I am going to have to refuse your request.I do not, however, rebuke good-natured curiosity in any form. Asking questions is everything. In that spirit, I will offer you this:Blackmont is a very dear person to me. His role as Knight Consort of Reauvais is not one of convenience or dictate, but instead a carefully-considered oath sworn from the heart. My devotion to Reauvais and my devotion to Blackmont are not at odds with one another - instead, the one bolsters the other. I'd encourage those who have doubts or concerns to explore the Consort thread in the Reauvais subforum and take heart in the considered and thorough discussion held there by congregants. Judge less, and learn more. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
